Is animal chiropractic safe?

Adjustments are carefully adapted to each animal. The amount of force used for a cat or small dog, for example, is very different from the technique used for a horse or cow.
Does an adjustment hurt the animal?
Most animals tolerate chiropractic adjustments very well. Many become visibly relaxed during their appointments.
An animal with an especially sensitive or restricted area may briefly react when that area is examined. We closely observe body language and never force an animal beyond its comfort level.
What happens during the first appointment?

What is an animal chiropractic adjustment?
An adjustment is a quick, precise and controlled movement applied to a joint that is not moving properly.
Animal adjustments do not involve forcefully twisting or stretching the entire body. The practitioner identifies a specific restricted joint and uses an appropriate technique to help restore healthier movement.
